Production Dates
of the

To establish the Production date of your Metropolitan (US & Canada only), you will need its VIN.
The VIN is found on a plate attached to the firewall, under the hood, and should begin with the letter "E".
VIN's began at E1001 (Oct. 1953) and ran to E95981 (April 1961)

Check the VIN against the list below to establish an approximate Production date for your car.
Please be aware that, since the cars took at least 6 weeks to arrive at the US or Canadian distribution center from the factory in Longbridge, UK, the "Titled date" will be later than the Production date.
